Tired of your current Siri voice? Let’s learn how to change it. Apple has recorded actors’ voices and run them through its neural text-to-speech engine in an effort to make Siri sound more natural, so you have more options than ever for how Siri’s voice should sound.

If you have not used Siri before, when you first use the virtual assistant, you will be prompted to choose a voice for it, but if you have, you can change the voice Siri is using manually. So, how do you change Siri’s voice? You can customize Siri’s voice in the Settings app. Let’s find out how.

This tip was performed on an iPhone 14 Pro running iOS 18.4.1

Change Siri’s Voice

First, open Settings, and tap either Siri or Apple Intelligence & Siri (the menu option will appear differently depending on whether or not you have an Apple Intelligence-enabled device). Refer to the below image:

Next, tap Voice. See the image below:

Now, under Variations, you can choose between American, Australian, British, Indian, Irish, or South African. See the following image:

Next, after you have decided on your Variation, you can select a Voice. Depending on which Variation you chose, you should have between 2-5 different voices. Refer to the image below:

Now, once you have found one you like, it will take some time for your iPhone to completely download the voice, though you do not need to wait in Settings for it to do so. See the image below:

If you change the voice of your Siri on your iPhone, it will change it across your synced devices.

That’s how to change Siri’s voice. It’s that easy!

If you use the Google Assistant often, you might be getting tired of hearing the Assistant reply in the same voice. Fortunately, Google realized their customers wanted voice options for their devices, and introduced the ability to change your Assistant’s voice some time ago; and added a few surprise options.

With a few simple steps, you can change the voice on all of your Google-powered devices, including your Chromebook and smartphones. Here’s the simple guide on how to change the Google Assistant’s voice.

First, open the Google Assistant app from your iPhone App Library. Hold, swipe right, and release using the Dots bar at the bottom or swipe left all the way to open the App Library. Refer to below image:

Next, at the top of your screen you will see a Search box. See below image:

Now, in the Search bar, type in google assistant and tap the app to open. See following image:

Here you will see a list of things you can do with the app. Locate the Assistant voice option and tap it. Refer to below image:

The default voice will be displayed, usually Red. At the bottom of your screen you will see the list of devices supporting this voice. See below image:

To change the voice setting, just swipe the Dots bar to highlight one or tap a color bubble to hear a voice sample. After your selection, that voice will remain as your Google Assistant Voice setting. See following image;

Google Assistant also has the option to assume a variety of celebrity voices, giving you some very unique options for your voice assistant. The range of celebrity voices available continues to grow, but popular options currently include John Legend and Issa Rae.

You may have found the celebrity voice options when looking at the voice settings we mentioned earlier, but there’s an, easier way to give your Google Home a celebrity voice. All you have to do is say, “Hey Google, talk like John Legend,” or whoever you prefer, and the voice assistant will address you in that voice until you tell it otherwise. All voices are not available in all areas.

Battle for Tra Bong Vietnam: Events and Aftermath

In 1970, I was an Army Fire Direction Control (FDC) specialist. I was stationed at Landing Zone (LZ) Cindy in Tra Bong, Vietnam. We had an Observation Post (OP) and a Searchlight (SLT) unit. Next to the firebase was an Armed Forces Vietnam (ARVN) unit of 100 men. Besides the helicopter landing zone, we had the shortest airstrip in Vietnam operated by Military AssistanceCommand Vietnam (MACV). Approximately 100 men were stationed at LZ Cindy.

The firebase had tremendous firepower with automatic weapons, 50-caliber, and 60-caliber machine guns including a Quad 50, Dusters, 8-inch and 175 howitzers, mortars, grenades, claymores, flares, etc.
